The Mobile HCI workshop series provides a forum for academics and
practitioners to discuss the challenges and potential solutions for
effective interaction with mobile systems. It is intended to cover
the design, evaluation and applications of techniques and approaches
for all mobile computing devices. Authors are invited to submit papers
for consideration. Suggested topics include but are not limited to:

    * Audio and speech interaction
    * Case studies of mobile devices and tasks
    * Context-dependent systems
    * Design of handheld guides
    * Intelligent environments
    * Integration of mobile devices and telecommunications
    * Novel user interfaces
    * Perception and modelling of the environment, including sensing device
    * Usability evaluation
    * Location-aware interaction
    * Model-based design of interactive  mobile systems
    * Multimodal interaction
    * Safety issues
    * UML for mobile applications
    * Visualisation techniques
    * Web design for mobile devices


Papers of no more than 15 pages (including figures and references) are
solicited. Papers must clearly show the name, postal address, email address,
and fax number of the contact author. Authors are requested to submit papers
in PDF format. Templates are available at Springer-Verlag web site After acceptance the final paper is
required in electronic version according to the file templates provided by
the publisher. Accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings
that will be distributed at the conference. Extended and revised versions of
the best papers accepted for the Conference will be peer-reviewed and
published in an international journal special issue.


The days before the symposium will be dedicated to tutorials and workshops.
A one page tutorial or workshop proposal (1000 words) should accompany the
submission describing the contents and the relevance to the conference.
