Call for Papers
3DPVT 2008 (www.3dpvt.org)
Fourth International Symposium on 3D Data Processing, Visualization
and Transmission
June 18-20, 2008, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta
Submission Deadline: February 29, 2008
Every two years 3DPVT offers researchers, developers, and students the
opportunity to present and discuss new research results, technologies,
and applications related to the capture, representation, compact
storage, transmission, processing, editing, optimization and
visualization of 3D geometric and photometric models and their use in
architecture, geosciences, medicine, manufacturing, security,
entertainment, and other fields.
We invite research contributions in three broad areas:
- Acquisition & Recognition (scanning, registration, 3D
reconstruction, recognition…)
- Processing & Transmission (similarity, segmentation, resampling,
compression, animation…)
- Interaction & Visualization (IBR, LOD, visibility, haptics, AR/VR,
tele-immersion…)
and also application papers (architecture, biomedical, forensic, GIS,
3D-TV, entertainment, tourism, real estate, training…)
Submission: Double submission is only accepted for papers also
submitted to CVPR 2008, provided that the authors withdraw one of the
