2nd Atelier of Smart Garments and Accessories – UbiComp 2014 workshop
New deadline for paper submission: 2nd June 2014.
CALL FOR PAPERS
The Atelier of Smart Garments and Accessories aims to bring together researchers from the academia and the industry in order to establish a multidisciplinary community interested in facilitating knowledge transfer and synergy, bridging the gaps between different research domains, paving the way for common purposes, and identifying new opportunities and challenges in the domain of wearable computing. Candidates are invited to submit 2-5 page papers for the workshop in smart garments and accessories, co-organized with the 2014 ACM International Joint Conference on Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing (UbiComp 2014). We solicit stimulating, original, previously unpublished ideas on completed work, position papers, and/or work-in-progress papers. We further encourage papers that propose new research directions or could generate lively debate at the workshop.
The workshop major topics comprehend and are not limited to:

  *   Technologies for smart garments and accessories
     *   Electronic textiles
     *   Wearable computers form factors for the integration in smart accessories
     *   Displays
     *   Augmented reality
     *   Networks
     *   Advanced machine learning for context awareness
  *   Interaction design for smart garments and accessories
  *   Case studies and applications of smart garments and accessories
     *   Behavior change
  *   Psychological and ethnographic investigations
  *   Design
     *   Ergonomics
     *   Fashion
All submissions should follow the ACM Ubicomp format. Accepted papers must be presented at the workshop and will appear in the ACM digital library and the supplemental proceedings.
important dates

  *   June 2nd, 2014: Submission deadline for the workshop papers.
  *   June 16th, 2014: Notification of acceptance for the submitted workshop papers.
  *   July 6th, 2014: Submission of the camera-ready version of workshop and all workshop papers.
  *   Sept. 14th, 2014: Workshop.

VENUE
The Atelier of Smart Garments and Accessories will be held in conjunction with the ACM 2014 International Joint Conference on Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing (UbiComp 2014) at the Red Lion Hotel in Downtown Seattle, Washington, US.
