LAST CALL FOR DEMO (EXTENDED DEADLINE 21/5 2015) - The fifth decennial Aarhus conference

The fifth decennial Aarhus conference (http://aarhus2015.org/), Critical Alternatives, aims to set new agendas for theory and practice in computing for quality of human life. While the early Aarhus conferences, from 1975 and onwards, focused on computing in working life, computing today is influencing most parts of human life (civic life, the welfare state, health, learning, leisure, culture, intimacy, ...), thereby calling for critical alternatives in a general quality of life perspective.

The Aarhus 2015 conference welcomes submissions for demo proposals where the word demo could also be interpreted in its widest form. A classical demo is technical by nature, but we may also consider alternative forms and understandings of a demo, such as a performance or other live events suitable for a demo session. In keeping with the critical theme of the conference, we are looking for demos that question the status quo or, better, provide critical alternatives or innovations in line with the conference theme.

A submission proposal should include a demo paper (two pages), a short description of the technical requirements of the demo (we will supply a table, power, and Internet access), and a link to a short video presenting your demo.

If accepted, the demo paper will be included in the proceedings, and the video will be linked on the conference web site.

Please remember that your demo should be engaging, mature, and robust enough to be demonstrated at the conference. A successful demo paper should clearly describe the system and its architecture, motivate its use and intended application. If your demo takes a non-technological form, you should substitute the system and architectural descriptions with a detailed description of your demo's nature, role and possible impact at the conference. Your submitted demo paper should use the provided long paper submission template.

The submissions will be reviewed by a demo review committee. The Demo submission should be submitted to the conference submission page<https://precisionconference.com/~aarhus>.
EXTENDED Deadline for Demo submission: May 21th 2015.
Notification of Demo acceptance/rejection: June 7th 2015.

For questions regarding a Demo submission or other related issues, please contact the Demo chairs by email.

We look forward to your Demo submission and your active participation at Aarhus 2015!
