Dear All,

deadline for workshops proposals at AVI 2012 is close!

The AVI2012 Organizing Committee invites proposals for half/one-day
workshops to be held either prior to the main conference, on May 21, 2012
or immediately after it, on May 25, 2012.  The purpose of these workshops
is to provide a platform for presenting novel ideas in a less formal and
possibly more focused way than at the conference itself.
Workshops Proposals are solicited in all areas and topics pertaining to
advanced visual interfaces. Workshops addressing emerging research
directions in these areas are highly welcome.
Each workshop proposal must include:

    The name of the workshop.
    The names, addresses, and a short bio of the organizers.
    A brief description (up to 1 page) of the technical issues that the
workshop will address, and the reasons why the workshop is of interest at
this time.
    The expected duration (half or full day).
    A description of the expected potential participants.
    An  estimate of the expected number of attendees.
    Planned publication type for proceedings (paper version, CD- and
    Possibility of separate funding for the workshop (e.g., sponsors).

Workshop proposals should be submitted, no later than December 19, 2011,
by e-mail to both AVI2012 Workshop Co-Chairs, Paolo Bottoni and Giuliana
Vitiello, at the address [log in to unmask], with subject :"Workshop
Workshop organization will be shared between AVI organizers and the
proposers. Proposals will be evaluated and decisions will be communicated
to the proposers by January 10th 2012. The actual activation of workshops
will be subject to the presence of an adequately sizeable attendance.
