ACII 2013 - 2nd Call for Public Event Proposals
------------------

The 5th International Conference on Affective Computing and
Intelligent Interaction

http://www.acii2013.org

The fifth biannual Humaine Association Conference on Affective
Computing and Intelligent Interaction (ACII 2013) will be held in
Geneva, Switzerland on September 2-5, 2013.

The Conference series on Affective Computing and Intelligent
Interaction is the premier international forum for research on
affective and multimodal human-machine interaction and systems.

This ACII edition will emphasize the humanistic side of affective
computing by promoting publications at the cross-road between
engineering and human sciences (including biological, social and
cultural aspects of human life).

Depending on local opportunities, the number and the quality of
submissions a public artistic event may be considered. This event
should include clear reference to scientific research related to the
Conference and a collaboration with professional artists and/or the
engagement of the audience, in case of interactive artistic event.
Accepted participants to the public event will also have the
opportunity to have their paper published in the interactive demo’s
proceedings. Please note that a very limited budget will be available
for the organization: the event will be mainly self-funded.

Submission:

In case of interest in participating to this event, please send a
short proposal (max 2 pages) to the Interactive Event Chairs as soon
as possible with the following information:
1) a description of the artistic event, including the scientific
message which it represents, the system you would like to demonstrate
by means of an artistic performance, how it will be presented to the
audience;
2) details on local organization and technical issues, needed
resources and constraints (space, lighting and sound requirements,
etc);
3) schedule for preparation (possible rehearsals, technical setup etc).

If you have any questions please consult the conference website or
contact the public event chairs.
