European Conference on Computer Supported Cooperative Work (ECSCW 2015)
Call for Demo, Video and Poster submissions
September 19-23 2015
Oslo, Norway
Deadline for submission: 8th May 2015, 23:59 GMT

ECSCW is a series of international conferences on computer-supported cooperative work located in Europe. The conference series is affiliated with the European Society for Socially Embedded Technologies (EUSSET). The ECSCW conference is an important venue for defining and further developing the agenda of CSCW research. It addresses themes like:

* human practice in work and other activities: how can we understand W?
* cooperation and its characteristics (e.g. the role of awareness): how can we understand CW?
* methods for investigating human practices: the role of ethnography in CSCW
* digital and other material artefacts in cooperative work: how can we understand CS?
* design of CSCW: challenges and explorations

The ECSCW conferences are single-track conferences that contribute to developing an interdisciplinary ECSCW community. The conference format aims to facilitate critical discussion across disciplinary and national borders in the field. ECSCW will offer multiple ways of contributing and discussing research, including full papers, exploratory (short) papers, demos and videos in addition to workshops and master classes.

Demos, Videos and Posters at ECSCW

Live demonstrations, videos and posters are an important part of the conference technical program:

* Demonstrations present implementations of new CSCW systems and concepts, videos open up for presenting processes and novel methods.
* Posters are an opportunity to present late-breaking or smaller results not suitable for a Paper, innovative ideas not yet validated through user studies, student research, and other research best presented in this open format

We invite researchers and practitioners to submit demos, videos or posters of both research prototypes and commercial products. This will allow conference participants to view and try out novel and noteworthy CSCW systems in action, and will enable discussion on them. Accepted videos, demos and posters will be presented in a special session at the conference and stay during the conference, which will allow participants to discuss with the authors throughout the conference.

Proposals for demos and videos should use the ECSCW formatting instructions and include both an abstract and a description of the demo, video or poster. The proposal should not contain more than 3000 words, including the abstract. The description should contain
* Title of the system / demo / video / poster submission
* Description of the system / process / concept to be presented and its relation to CSCW
* Related work
* Technical support required at the conference
* Videos only: If available, a link to a video should be provided with the submission
* Posters only: A draft for the poster to be shown at the conference (A0 format)

If available, a link to a video should be provided with the submission. Submissions should be sent through the ECSCW 2015 electronic submission system.
Links to the submission system and templates for submissions are available from
