Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) is looking for a motivated individual who wishes to conduct a funded PhD program in the field of Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, and Design Methodology.
The PhD program will look into the process of how novel usage scenarios that leverage various up-coming and emerging computational and interactive technologies could be developed, and subsequently how interactive applications could be designed from these scenarios, in order to re-address, re-formulate and re-adjust the conventional user-centred design approach that has been widely accepted in software industry so far. For more details on the research topic and any informal discussions about the position, contact Dr. Hyowon Lee ([log in to unmask]).
SUTD is Singapore's 4th national university, established in close collaboration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Using 'Design' as the cross-disciplinary backbone and theme amongst product and engineering design, information system design and architectural design, the university is research-focused, quality-driven and forward-thinking, and shares its curriculum and research outlook with MIT. More information on the university can be found at: http://www.sutd.edu.sg/
Those interested in applying should visit and check the application procedure at:

Application deadline is February 2014 and the expected commencement of the PhD program is September 2014.
