========= Call For Papers =========

During ICNS 2008 we organize a special event on "Internet Packet
Dynamics", [IPDy].

The Fourth International Conference on Networking and Services
ICNS 2008
March 16-21, 2008 - Gosier, Guadeloupe
Site: http://www.iaria.org/conferences2008/ICNS08.html
Submit a paper: http://www.iaria.org/conferences2008/SubmitICNS08.html

Submissions will be peer-reviewed, published by IEEE CPS, posted in IEEE
Digital Library, and indexed with the major indexes.
Extended versions of selected papers will be invited for specialized
journals.

Important deadlines:

Notification of acceptance: November 15, 2007
Registration/camera ready: December 5, 2007

Please consider to contribute and distribute to the appropriate groups the
following Invitation for submission to the special event on "Internet
Packet Dynamics" [IPDy]

Intended topics (but not limited to):

Measurement of stream characteristics (reordering, delay, losses, jitter,
etc.)
Measurement and estimation of network characteristics
Tools, metrics and benchmarks
End-to-end packet dynamics
Timing aspects in packet dynamics
Impact of load balancing, parallelism within nodes, etc. on packet dynamics
QoS mechanisms and their impact on packet dynamics
Models (e.g., relating protocols, resources and architectures to packet
dynamics)
Mitigation of adverse effects of reordering, jitter, etc.
Traffic engineering
Impact of packet dynamics on application performance

IPDy Co-Chairs:
Colin Arthur, Agilent Laboratories, UK
