===========================================================

Important Dates:
- Submission by: January 19, 2015
- Notification of Acceptance by: February 08, 2015
- Workshop: April 19, 2015

Mobile living and working has become a feature of everyday experience and interaction with others, mediated by digital, Internet-enabled technology. Such patterns of interaction in ‘mobile lives’ pose new opportunities and challenges for people and societies. In addressing these challenges, this one-day workshop aims to explore the role of design-led inquiry as part of the research process to explore and design to support mobile lives.

Key questions that we will investigate at the workshop include but are not limited to:

  * What are the challenges and opportunities for mobile living and working, mediated by digital, Internet-enabled technology?
  * How may the practices, processes and artefacts of design-led inquiry contribute to HCI research on supporting mobile lives?
  * How may design-led inquiry foster and support dialogue and stakeholder engagement in HCI research teams investigating mobile lives?

SUBMISSIONS
We invite authors to submit a position paper (2-4 pages in ACM Extended Abstract format) that presents a piece of research they have conducted and/or an artefact they have designed that addresses the challenges of mobile living. We highly encourage authors to submit visual papers that could consist of sketches, images, illustrations, field notes.

Submissions should be sent in .pdf format by January 19, 2015 to [log in to unmask]<applewebdata:[log in to unmask]>

All submissions will be reviewed to ensure that a diversity of approaches and positions is represented. At least one author of each accepted position paper must attend the workshop and participants must register for the workshop and for at least one day of the conference. Please see the CHI 2015 website for estimates on workshop & conference pricing: http://chi2015.acm.org/attending/
