1. Submit your paper (February 15th, 2013), late submissions can be accepted on a space-available basis
2. Notification of acceptance March 1st, 2013) 
3. Participate in the workshop April 8-9, 2013. 
Write-up an extended version and submit the paper on iJET special issue on Video-Based Learning (May 15th, 2013)

The accepted papers will be:
1. published in wokrshop proceedings with ISSN
2. Published in iJET  journal
3. presented and video-recorded by videolectures.net

We are pleased to announce the WAVe: Workshop on Analytics on Video-based Learning (https://sites.google.com/a/ionio.gr/wave), to take place on April 8-9th 2013. WAVe is organized in conjunction with the 3rd Conference on Learning Analytics & Knowledge and hosted by the University of Leuven in Leuven, Belgium.

Topics of Interest
--------------------

Suggested topics include, but are not limited to the intersection of learning analytics and:

• design issues for video authoring tools
• big data obtained from video learning systems
• instructional video capturing, editing, and sharing
• mobile-based (tablet, smart-phone) video learning
• participatory course development
• social networks, communication, and collaboration
• infrastructure and technological issues with video learning
• cultural uses of video learning systems
• asynchronous video mediated personal communication
• asynchronous and synchronous web casting systems
• creative uses of video by the students
• peer instruction and peer grading
• the role of video in the flipped classroom
• user modeling, adaptation and personalization
• usability and interaction design
• pedagogy in massive online open courses (MOOCs)

We are proud to announce that leading researchers in the field will give keynote presentations in the workshop:

Publication and Submission
-------------------------------

Interested researchers should submit a 4-6 pages paper in the ACM CHI Extended Abstract Format. A presentation and discussion session will provide the opportunity to researchers who want to get feedback on their research work by the community. Accepted papers will be published online as part of the CEUR Workshop proceedings series. CEUR-WS.org is a recognized ISSN publication series, with ISSN 1613-0073, open access availability and several index services (e.g., DBLP, Scholar). Extended versions of workshop papers will be also published to a special issue of the International Journal of Emerging Technologies in Learning (iJET).
