A Ph.D. research student position is available within the "User-driven
Interaction Design" Group at the Department of Information Systems at
Karlstad University, Sweden. Knowledge or experience in usability of
security/privacy technology is desirable.
The HCI group is focusing on ways to include users in systems development,
in particular, how to articulate interaction design for layman discussion
and testing. This group has applied its theories and methods within
privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs) to increase the usability of security
& PETs. The research student is expected to participate in such work which
is often cunducted within projects financed by external research funds.
