Call for Posters/Demos

The 25th IEEE International Conference on Network Protocols (ICNP 2017)

Toronto, October 10-13, 2017

ICNP 2017 will hold a poster and demo session to showcase work in progress.
The poster/demo session has been a successful regular event at ICNP in past
years. These sessions will provide a great chance for students and
researchers to obtain feedback on their on-going research from
knowledgeable conference attendees. While posters and demos are welcome
from everyone, for the poster sessions we particularly encourage on-going
work in which the primary contributor (i.e., first author) is a student.
Extended abstracts (2 pages) of the posters or extended description (2
pages) of the demo should be submitted in the Portable Document Format
(PDF) only, following the same formatting instructions as for the main
conference papers, except that the author names should be included in the
2-page PDF. The submissions will be reviewed by members of the Poster/Demo
Session Committee. The abstracts of accepted posters and demos will be
included in the proceedings and in IEEE eXplore.

At the conference, posters/demos must be presented by one of the
co-authors. Posters and demos submitted to this call for papers should
contain unpublished original ideas and not be abbreviations of published
papers. Note that acceptance and presentation of a poster or demo contain
original ideas at ICNP 2017 will not prevent authors from publishing a more
complete version of their ideas in future conferences and journals.
Poster/Demo Chairs
Minghua Chen (The Chinese University of Hong Kong)
Chuan Wu (The University of Hong Kong)Important Dates
Submission deadline: August 6, 2017 (11:59 p.m. EDT)
Notification of acceptance: August 14, 2017
Camera-ready version: September 2, 2017Poster/Demos Submission

Poster/demo papers should be submitted using the online HotCRP system: Submit
your poster/demo papers here
<http://iqua.ece.toronto.edu/icnp17/posters/hotcrp>. (If you do not have an
account, please create a new one in the submission website).

After the notification date, authors of selected demos are expected to send
an email to the chairs ([log in to unmask]
<[log in to unmask]>), with a list of requirements to ensure
that it can be arranged.
Registration

At least one of the poster/demo co-authors must register for the conference
to present the poster/demo. Students may register for the conference at the
student rate for presenting posters/demo (if they are not presenting a full
paper in the conference which requires a full registration).
What should the final poster look like?

We define a poster to be A0 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paper_size),
i.e., 841mm x 1189mm or 33.11in x 46.81in, on which you can affix visually
appealing material that de- scribes your research. You can arrange the
space and orient the poster either horizontally or vertically. You should
prepare the best material (visually appealing and succinct) that
effectively communicates your research problem, techniques, results, and
what is novel and important about your work. You are responsible for
printing your poster and bringing it to the conference site. We will
provide easels for you to mount your poster materials on.
