Theme: "Technology Enhanced Learning"

ICALT 2003 intends to bring together academics, researchers and industry practitioners who
are involved or interested in the design and development of advanced and emerging learning
technologies with ultimate aim to empower individuals and organisations in building
competencies for exploiting the opportunities of the knowledge society.

ICALT 2003 invites submissions of for peer-reviewed papers of original academic or industrial
research on Advanced Learning Technologies that contribute to the future research agenda of
Technology Enhanced Learning.

All accepted Full and Short Papers and Poster Extended Summaries, will appear in a single
volume to be published by the IEEE Computer Society Press.  Extended versions of selected
papers will be invited for a Special Issue of the Educational Technology & Society
(ISSN 1436-4522) journal.

* Important Dates

February 14, 2003 – original paper proposal submission
March 14, 2003 - notification of acceptance
March 28, 2003 - final camera-ready manuscript
April 4, 2003 - author registration deadline


* Paper Submissions

Complete papers are required for review process. Papers should be no longer than 5 pages
including all tables, figures, and references, but excluding cover page. The cover page of the
paper should contain following information: (a) title of the paper, (b) names, affiliation,
postal and email addresses, phone and fax numbers of all authors, (c) name of contact author,
(d) abstract of no more than 200 words.

Manuscripts should be submitted in Word, RTF or PDF file formats at:

Authors are advised to follow the IEEE Computer Society guidelines, available at:
http://www.computer.org/cspress/instruct.htm
(Please do not complete copyright form at this stage. Authors of accepted papers will be given
further information about it).

All submissions will be reviewed on the basis of relevance, originality, significance, soundness
and clarity. Three referees will review each paper proposal submission.

* Venue

ICALT2003 takes place in the historical city of Athens, capital of Greece and host of the
Olympic Games 2004. Athens is very popular touristic destination with numerous archeological
sites and easy access to the famous Greek Islands.

Dais Cultural and Athletic Centre is a newly established and fully equipped conference center
located 20 minutes from Athens International Airport.
