The American Center for Design (ACD) presents a one-day seminar with
the industry's leading designers and visionaries, exploring hardware
and software challenges and trends of mobile technology.

Friday, 5 April 2002 at University of California, Berkeley, California

How does the user interface of a mobile device interact with its
physical form?What are the major manufacturers of mobile products and
services planning? Join developers of the wireless, mobile technology
revolution in analyzing and presenting provocative new designs for
mobile telephones, personal communicators, and information
appliances. This one-day seminar will feature leading designers and
representatives of hardware and software manufacturers in the USA,
Europe, and Asia, as they explore challenging issues of user-centered

Seminar Location:

The Seminar will be held in the Sibley Auditorium of the Bechtel
Engineering Center, on the north side of the University of California
at Berkeley campus, just off the intersection of Euclid and Hearst
Streets. Parking is available in University parking facilities nearby
or on the street. Public transit is nearby.

Center) are below. As a note, Bechtel is a five minute walk from the
downtown Berkeley BART.

Seminar Schedule:

The Seminar registration will begin in the lobby of Sibley Auditorium
at 8 am, Friday, 5 April, with a complimentary continental breakfast.
The event will start promptly at 9 am and continue until 5 pm. Lunch
will be served to all participants in the Sibley Auditorum lobby to
facilitate conversation and interaction with the speakers during the
lunch break. There will also be morning and afternoon coffee breaks
with refreshments provided by ACD.

Non-members: $275
Students with ID: $90
