          FIRST CALL FOR WORKSHOP and TUTORIAL PROPOSALS

   6th International Conference on Web Engineering (ICWE 2006)

          Palo Alto, California, USA, Juli 10-14, 2006

The ICWE 2006 – 6th International Conference on Web Engineering –
will be held in Palo Alto, California, at the Stanford Linear
Accelerator Center from Tuesday, July 11 to Friday, July 14.
On Monday, July 10 a set of full-day or half-day workshops and
tutorials will be planned.


CALL for WORKSHOP PROPOSALS
----------------------------

Workshops at ICWE 2006 are intended to provide a highly interactive
forum focusing on novel results, and conducting in-depth discussions
on a specific topic, or coordinating work among representatives of a
technical community. Workshop proposals should address current Web
engineering related issues which can benefit from small-group
information exchange and discussion.

A workshop proposal should include the following items:

• Name of the workshop
• Name(s) and affiliation(s) of the organizer(s), identifying one
 primary contact
• An abstract (no longer than 200 words), including the workshop’s
 major topics, goals and expected outcomes
• Motivation: relevance of the workshop to the Web Engineering community;
 references to other workshops organized by the proponents at ICWE or
 other conferences
• Target audience and desired number of workshop participants (minimum
 and maximum)
• Facilities, equipment and materials required
• A preliminary version of the Call for Papers, briefly describing the
 goals of the workshop, the participant selection process, the schedule
 of the activities, and the organizers’ biography
• A short description of the activities that the workshop organizers
 propose to undertake for the success of the workshop
• Expected results

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit workshop proposals to
the ICWE 2006 Workshop and Tutorial Co-Chairs, Nora Koch and Luis Olsina
([log in to unmask]), no later than Tuesday, January 10,
2006.
Submission may be made by e-mail (PDF-Format) with the "ICWE 2006 Workshop
Submission" label in the subject header.


CALL for TUTORIAL PROPOSALS
---------------------------

Tutorial at ICWE 2006 are desired for both half-day and full-day sessions
on topics of current and ongoing relevance to Web Engineering. Tutorial
proposals must include:

• Tutorial title
• Presenter contact information
• Aims/learning objectives
• Duration (half or full-day)
• Scope (general topic area)
• Keywords
• Target audience
• Prerequisite knowledge of audience
• Tutorial abstract (1-2 paragraphs suitable for inclusion in conference
 registration materials)
• Full description (1-2 pages to be used for evaluation)
• Tutorial history
• Presenter(s) biography(ies)
• Relevant references


Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit tutorial proposals to
the ICWE 2006 Workshop and Tutorial Co-Chairs, Nora Koch and Luis Olsina
([log in to unmask]), no later than Tuesday, January 10,
2006.
Submission may be made by e-mail (PDF-Format) with the "ICWE 2006 Tutorial
Submission" label in the subject header.
