Submissions for the following CHI 2002 categories are
due Friday, 14 September 2001:
CHIKids - become a CHIKids Leader or a Daily Volunteer
for our special kids program
Demonstrations - the demonstrations track is looking for
emerging technologies as well as current technologies in
such areas as ubiquitous computing, implantable computers,
universal usability, groupware, natural language and
information access
Development Consortium - this year the consortium will
address the challenge of creating human-centered computing
products for South Africa
Doctoral Consortium - students who are selected to participate
will receive complimentary conference registration and travel
reimbursement up to $1500 USD
Panels - panels are a great format to discuss pressing questions
in HCI practice and theory, emerging trends, and social issues
associated with technology
Papers - papers present significant contributions to research,
development and practice in all areas of HCI, and are read and
cited worldwide
Workshops - a valuable opportunity for small groups of people
to engage in discussions about topics of common interest
Student Volunteers - a wide variety of positions are available
to provide students from all disciplines and cultures to be part
of the success of the CHI conference
Practitioners Special Track: Usability in Practice - this is an
exciting NEW category that focuses on how usability practices
have evolved over the past decade
