Hello,

The second IEEE Humans and Cyber Security (HACS-2020) a *virtual workshop
on December 1 – 3 (North America Time)*, co-hosted with IEEE CIC
(Collaboration and Internet Computing), IEEE CogMI (Cognitive Machine
Intelligence), and IEEE TPS (Trust, Privacy and Security of Intelligence
Systems, and Applications) invites you to submit your papers in the
field of cybersecurity and privacy.

*Call for papers*

We invite the submission of papers in the field of human-centric
cybersecurity and privacy. Submissions should be original and include
previously unpublished work, including early results on all aspects of
human-centric cybersecurity and privacy.

It is time to focus on the cybersecurity and privacy approach that protects
infrastructures and, as a result, puts shields to keep humans out of the
loop and on what the humans feel, face, and goes through when they
experience and interact with those infrastructures. Humans play a critical
role in cybersecurity and data privacy: as the creator of the systems, as a
user of the systems, and occasionally as an abuser of the systems.

The 2020 Humans and Cyber Security (HACS-2020) will provide a forum where
researchers and technical enthusiasts interested in humans, cybersecurity,
and privacy can share their latest research insights and present key and
emerging results in terms of this field.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

   - Human-centric cybersecurity
   - Data Privacy
   - Human behavior in cybersecurity
   - Cyberpsychology and cybersecurity
   - Human-machine interaction/collaboration from a security/privacy
   perspective
   - Usable security/privacy by design
   - Constructing user-centric privacy and security in mobile and IoT
   applications
   - Usability of online security indicators
   - Usable guidelines for security and privacy
   - Consumers’ views on privacy and security
   - Case studies in usable security and privacy (both successful and
   unsuccessful case studies)
   - Ethical and policy dimensions related to human-centric cybersecurity
   - Human cybersecurity issues, such as phishing, social engineering,
   insider threats, etc.

*Submission process*

The 2020 Humans and Cyber Security (HACS-2020) workshop call for original
and unpublished papers. Each paper can have at most 8 pages. The reviews
will be double-blind. The manuscripts should be formatted in the standard
IEEE proceedings format (double-column, 10-pt font), which can be found at
https://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html.
Manuscripts should be submitted as PDF files through the EasyChair website:
<https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=hacs2020>*.*

The workshop papers will be published as part of the IEEE CIC proceedings.

*Important dates*

   - Submission deadline: Sept. 27, 2020
   - Acceptance notification: Oct. 20, 2020
   - Camera-ready: Nov. 4, 2020
