*Call for conference bid to host Chinese CHI 2017*

The International Chinese Association of Computer-Human Interaction
(ICACHI) hereby invites bids to host the 5th Chinese CHI conference. ICACHI
is an international multidisciplinary professional society of scholars and
practitioners interested in computing, design, behavioral science and
engineering.

The Chinese CHI conference is a premier international conference in HCI,
having been held in major world centers at Toronto, Canada and Paris,
France since 2012 and sponsored by Google, Autodesk, Huawei and HTC. The
language used in the conference is English and the conference proceedings
is published to ACM Digital Library. In the recent past, Chinese CHI 2015
was held in Soul, Korea, Please see http://ICACHI.org for more information.

The received bids will be evaluated by the steering committee and the
ICACHI Board. The final selection of the Chinese CHI 2017 site will be made
at the steering committee meeting at Chinese CHI 2016 in San Jose, USA in
2016. We invite cities that would like to host ChineseCHI2017 to submit
their bids.

The bid should be concise but provide sufficient details on the following
items:
1. Letter of intent
2. Name of local arrangement team and contact person
3. Nominated General Chair(s)
4. Proposed dates
5. Suggested changes (new an innovative events/sections)
6. Descriptions of the conference location
a. Weather and travel logistics of the city
b. Accommodations
7. Descriptions of the conference venue
a. Space for poster/demonstration/reception
b. Space for break out section
8. Sponsorships, industry involvement and support
9. Budget projection

This call is open to the World HCI societies/groups. Proposals should be
sent to the ICACHI Secretariat ([log in to unmask]) no later than *May 1,
2016*. Please allow 24 hours for electronic receipt confirmation from the
CHINESE CHI Secretariat!
