Hi All
We wanted to let you know that the tickets for the #GamesUR Conference are
on sale now, and that the earlybird rate for tickets ends this week.
The event combines speakers from both industry and academia, including
Riot Games, Ubisoft, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Deep-Silver
Volition and the University of Waterloo.
After 5 years of summits in the United States, the IGDA Games User
Research Special Interest Group (GUR SIG) is hosting their first European
gathering, “#GamesUR conference”. The announced talks include sessions
from leading player insight and playtest researchers from Riot Games,
Ubisoft, Deep Silver Volition, Big Fish Games and more. Topics include
reviewing narrative within games, using biometrics for playtesting
insight, games analytics, expanding the influence of player research among
development teams, games accessibility and more.
Playtesting has been a core tenant of video games development for more
than 20 years, and new techniques including game analytics, remote
testing, psychophysiology and eyetracking complement the more traditional
methods for understanding the player experience.
Held in July 17th at London’s Conway Hall, the #GamesUR conference will
host more than 100 professionals making video games better through
playtesting, video game research, and the study of player psychology.
The #GamesUR conference has been proudly sponsored by Sony Computer
Entertainment Europe, Spotless Interactive and Player Research, and is
still seeking offers of sponsorship of the event.
For more information on the conference, please visit the conference
website, or email the organisers:
