Outstanding candidates are sought for two full time post-doc positions (Research Assistants / Research Associates) in the Digital Interaction group at Culture Lab in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK (School of Computing Science, Newcastle University). We are looking for highly motivated individuals with an excellent track record in fields related to ubiquitous and context aware computing, computational behaviour analysis, and applied machine for activity recognition, who want to work in a highly dynamic environment on cutting edge research for real-world applications.

post 1:
Research Associate (Ubiquitous Computing)
Ref D1148R

You will be responsible for executing the ubiquitous and context aware computing research agenda within both the EPSRC TEDDI project on commercial building energy monitoring and the Connected Home and Community Activity of SiDE. In addition you will undertake ubiquitous computing research within the Digital Interaction research group in the Culture Lab. You will have a PhD related to ubiquitous and context aware computing and a publication track record in internationally leading venues. Since the research conducted within both the TEDDI program and the SiDE Digital Economy Research Hub is highly collaborative and interdisciplinary, you will have experience in working with multi- or interdisciplinary teams.
