SIGCHI seeks nominations for its four major annual awards. All nominations are due by November 17, 2008.

SIGCHI identifies and honors leaders and shapers of the field of human-computer interaction with the SIGCHI Awards. We recognize individuals who have contributed to the advancement of the field of human-computer interaction. There are four kinds of SIGCHI Awards: the CHI Lifetime Achievement Award<http://sigchi.org/documents/awards/#achieve>, election to the CHI Academy<http://sigchi.org/documents/awards/#Academy>, the CHI Social Impact Award<http://sigchi.org/documents/awards/#social>, and the CHI Lifetime Service Award<http://sigchi.org/documents/awards/#Service>.

The SIGCHI Achievement Awards committee, chaired by Gary Olson (CHI Academy Member and Lifetime Award winner), selects the recipients of the CHI Lifetime Achievement Award and elects individuals to the CHI Academy. The SIGCHI Service Award committee, chaired by A.J. Brush (SIGCHI VP for Membership and Communications), selects the recipients of the CHI Social Impact Award and the CHI Distinguished Service Award. We encourage you to consult the SIGCHI Awards web page<http://sigchi.org/documents/awards/> for lists of past awardees and more detailed award descriptions.
