Subject: 1 September is an important date if you are considering proposing
              a CHI 2004 panel

At CHI 2004, we intend to feature a collection of "especially engaging"
panels related to the conference theme of "connect" and/or to its special
areas of interest. We are very serious about the goal of "especially
engaging" panels; indeed, all panel proposals must explain how the panel
has been designed to especially engaging.

The CHI 2004 panels CFP (http://www.chi2004.org/cfp/panels.html) provides
guidance regarding panel formats that will help you meet the requirement of
being especially engaging. However, we encourage you to contact us by 1
September with your panel ideas so we can provide you with additional
guidance.
