CALL FOR WORKSHOP AND TUTORIALS:
To be held in conjunction with the 12th International Conference on
Educational Data Mining (EDM 2019)

EDM cordially invites proposals for workshops and tutorials to be held
in conjunction with the EDM conference. Proposals for both full-day
and half-day proposals will be accepted.

The purpose of EDM workshops and tutorials is to provide an
opportunity for participants from academia, industry, government and
other related parties to present and discuss novel ideas on current
and emerging topics relevant to Educational Data Mining. We encourage
workshops that bring together people working on new and developing
research topics that favor highly interactive discussions. Tutorial
proposals are encouraged that go in-depth into topics of interest to
the EDM community.

Workshops should describe an emerging subfield and the plan organizers
have to build growth in this new area. Tutorials should describe a
tool or method, the organizers and their expertise, and a plan for
attendees to learn it in a hands-on way.

Proposers of tutorials and workshops must provide information
explaining how the workshop is of interest to the EDM community, and
why a workshop or tutorial on this topic is beneficial.

Proposal requirements and format (2-4 pages total length for proposal):
Title.
Length of workshop/tutorial: full or half-day.
Proposed format of the workshop/tutorial (e.g., approximate timeline)
and type of activities (e.g., paper presentations, discussions, demos,
etc.).
Description of the workshop/tutorial content and themes.
Names, short biographies, and contact information of workshop/tutorial
chair(s). For tutorials, this biography must include detailed
information about the qualifications of the proposer to conduct the
tutorial on the proposed topic. For workshops, include a list of
organizing/program committee members, who should be from multiple
universities.

SUBMISSION INFORMATION:

A proposal must be a single-file email attachment, either in PDF or MS
Word format following the EDM template:
http://educationaldatamining.org/EDM2016/files/edm_word_template.doc

Those interested in organizing a workshop should submit their proposal
to EasyChair EDM 2019 (Workshop & Tutorial Proposal Track):
