CHI Colleagues,
The Task Force on the Clinical Use of Provider-Patient of Electronic Mail
has drafted a white paper for the American Medical Informatics Association.
Issues discussed are:communication, interface, and medicolegal. (Document
available on request. The project was prompted by the case of an MD who was
allegedly sued for inadvertently posting a patient's cancer diagnosis in
the public area of an online service. Almost certainly an interface glitch.)
In phase II, we will be making recommendations for clinical use of the
world wide web.
Question: Has ACM/will SIGCHI publish/ed guidelines for e-mailer interfaces
and web design ? Is there an interactive web site which itself demonstrates
good and bad design features (Hint hint....) ?
Thanks for info.
