Augmented Humanity using Wearable and Mobile Devices for Health and
Wellbeing

MobileHCI'18, September 3rd - 6th, Barcelona, Spain

Nowadays we have witnessed the increased application of wearable and mobile
devices in remote care and preventive digital health programs through
integration of body-worn and ambient sensors into consumer electronics and
accessories. Among others, this workshop is to address the following topics:
1. what those body-worn and ambient sensors can be designed to detect human
health signals
2. what interface should be designed to interact with wearable health
devices
3. what health signals should be collected for health diagnose and
wellbeing monitoring
how those data can be collected, analyzed and presented for early detection
of potential health issues and reliable monitoring of wellbeing.
This workshop is expected to bring technologists and health researchers and
professionals to exchange and discuss current state of the art of
developments of wearable and mobile technologies and their applications in
health and wellbeing, and set up and a R&D agenda for future research and
collaboration.

Paper deadline: May 15, 2018
Paper notification: June 1, 2018
Workshop day: September 3, 2018

Submission:
We invite all types of papers (research, abstract or position) with any
topics in relation to the workshop. Please send your submission to
[log in to unmask] Your submission should consist of a single PDF file
in the SIGCHI Extended Abstracts Format. Submissions should be four pages
or less. All submissions will be peer reviewed by the organizers for
acceptance.

Planned outcomes:
1. A focused R&D community related to augmented humanity using wearable and
mobile devices
2. A good understanding of the current state of art of R&D, challenges and
opportunities that will drive future collaboration
3. An agreed R&D agenda related to augmented humanity using wearable and
mobile devices
4. The beginning of joint research between different researchers attending
the workshop
We are also exploring the possibility of putting together a special journal
issue with contributions invited from workshop participants.
