Call for Demos

Demonstrations of innovative research, applications, and hardware/software
products are solicited. Demonstrations of technology, platforms,
applications and products for all aspects of underwater networks,
communications, and models are of strong interest. Submission from both
industry and universities are encouraged.

Demo Submission Instructions

Please submit an extended abstract (no more than 2 pages) of your demo as a
PDF e-mail attachment to: <shengli at engr.uconn.edu> with the subject line
reading "WUWNet Demo Submission" before the deadline. Please be as specific
as possible in describing what you will demonstrate or exhibit. The extended
abstract should include a short description of space and equipment
requirements. Accepted abstracts will be posted and maintained on the
workshop website.

Poster/Demo Student Awards

This year, a long session will be reserved for the posters/demos. We will
also present student awards for this session. The judges will not be the
committee, but the workshop attendees. The procedure is as follows. Each
visitor has a number of "coins" (these will be given out with registration),
and next to each poster/demo, which has a student as the FIRST-AUTHOR, there
will be a "bag". After visiting a poster/demo, people can award it by
putting as many (or as few) coins as they feel it deserves into the bag. At
the end of the session, the bags are counted, and the winner(s) announced at
the closing of the workshop. The amount to be awarded, and the number of
awards will depend on the workshop budget.
