BioVis will be held as a one-day Community of Special Interest (COSI) event at ISMB 2020
July 12-16, 2020

We invite submissions of contributions to the BioVis Symposium in various formats on all aspects of data visualization in biology, from molecular to cell, tissue, organism and population biology.

1. ISMB Proceedings
----------------------------
Novel, unpublished work can be submitted as a paper to the ISMB Proceedings. Accepted submissions will be published in the OUP Journal Bioinformatics (http://bioinformatics.oxfordjournals.org/ <http://bioinformatics.oxfordjournals.org/>, impact factor 7.3) and presented orally at BioVis.

Submission Deadline: January 30, 2020


2. Talks
----------------------------
Participants are encouraged to submit short abstracts highlighting previously published work, or long abstracts discussing unpublished work. Accepted talks will be presented orally at BioVis. 

Submission Deadline: Early April, 2020


3. Posters and demos
----------------------------
We invite participants to submit work in progress and preliminary results, previously published work from other venues, and visualization challenges to be presented as a poster or interactive demo. A selection of these will be invited to give a short talk during the conference.
