To the CHI community,

We are very pleased to announce the publication of the second issue of the Journal of Social Media for Organizations (JSMO), available at

Full-text articles may be downloaded free of charge. JSMO is an open-access, peer-reviewed, electronic journal. It seeks to strike a balance between social media technology and the behavioral research that investigates how people use social media for the good of an organization. JSMO focuses on high-quality empirical investigations, analyses, theories, and case studies in social media development and usage.

The four new articles (plus introduction) constitute a Special Issue on Large-Scale Ideation and Deliberation, guest-edited by Gregorio Convertino, Adam Westerski, Anna De Liddo, and Paloma Diaz. The first issue, which includes an editorial statement and studies of enterprise social media platforms, is also available at We invite you to read these articles and contribute your own original research to the journal; note that there is no charge to authors for publication. Contributions and questions may be directed to the editors at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.

With thanks for your interest,
Jill Drury
Founding editor of JSMO<>, on behalf of Gregorio Convertino and Laurie Damianos, Editors-in-Chief, and the rest of the editorial board<>.
