Hi, all,
I'm looking for sample interfaces that would allow a user of an
administration tool to create a list of categories, and supply
subcategories for each category. The current system supports only two
levels, so that is the immediate requirement; however, I'd appreciate
seeing interfaces that support multiple levels, as well. The number
of possible categories and subcategories has no limit, but it averages
about 10 categories and 3-5 subcategories for each.
We're hoping to find something that is very simple to build (not a lot
of dynamic content, and ideally only one screen) while still being
usable. The idea was offered of specifying comma-separated
subcategories in a scrolling text box, but that is a bit less elegant
than we would like. We have a couple of other ideas but are
struggling with some usability aspects of them.
If anyone can supply samples good (and bad!) I'll summarize for the
list. Thanks in advance.
