Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, Flickr, AIM, ...
Among other things, they all provide new channels for communication:
quick messages, photo exchanges, wall posts, proprietary email
systems and more. There was an article in the Sunday NY Times (I
think) about sites that help aggregate some/all of this information
to make it easier to manage; that seems necessary these days.
Does anyone have any observations (professional or personal) about
what people think about having all these new places to check for
communications from friends, colleagues and strangers? My kids don't
mind, certainly, but I'm just as happy to use this email client for
all my information exchanges.
This is a small part of a larger question: Creating online
applications that replace communication and productivity tools that
customers already use *or* that they might not have an interest in at all.
