Yes, death impacts people's perceptions. Sometimes negatively,
sometimes positively.
Michael Jackson is revered in death, and reviled as a child molester
in life (justified or not.) To be quite frank (and somewhat crass): he
hasn't been dead long enough to really assess the impact.
Google "Ryan Jenkins" for somebody whose death will have a minimal
impact on their reputation despite their fame.
