Hi folks

We're expanding our design team here to bring in allied (!)
professionals.
Towards this, we're looking at having people who'd work on the 'last
mile' in bringing the interface designs to the screen. I'm referring
to those who do the HTML/scripting part.

Could you share with me, in your experience with teams, as to what
exactly are the skills such a person would bring to the table -
technology/tools/any otherwise. I'd also be interested in knowing what
title you'd ascribe to such a position (web authors/web programmers
etc. etc.). Please bear in mind that we're talking in context of the
web here.

thanks for your time, and looking forward to interesting thoughts
sincerely
