Many thanks to Cindy Lu who has been looking after CHI-ANNOUNCEMENTS,
CHI-RESOURCES and CHI-WEB in my absence. I am happy to report that I am
now the proud owner of a mostly-new hip; the surgeons were able to
perform a resurfacing rather than a total hip replacement. Since these
lists are not focussed on orthopaedic surgery, I will spare members
further details<g>, but if you are dying to know then feel free to drop
me a line.
Some of you may remember that the ACM upgraded its Listserv software a
little while ago. A bonus of the upgrade is that all ACM lists now
support RSS. So, of you would prefer to use RSS rather than email to
receive postings by email, visit the web page for the list of your
choice and use the RSS links either at the top left or bottom right
(depending on what page you are visiting). The URL for all ACM lists is
http://listserv.acm.org
Don't forgot, that by setting up a password, you can also manage all of
your ACM list subscriptions at this web site.
Also, one final reminder: all postings should go to the list addresses
themselves:
[log in to unmask] (academic events and resources)
[log in to unmask] (commercial events and resources)
[log in to unmask] (web-related CHI discussion - no announcements)
And also,
[log in to unmask] (job postings)
Only use the -request versions of these addresses
([log in to unmask] for example) for queries or problems.
Happy posting!
Regards,
William Hudson
