One thing I've noticed a bout indefinite scrolls is the lack of feedback for
the user. When you do a search on something that uses pagination to keep
the scroll limited to a certain length it helps provide the user with a
feeling of impact. If you do a google search and come up with 3,000 pages,
it leaves an impact and can result in a refined search.

I personally don't think indefinite scrolls leave that much of an impact,
and thus, can waste a users time.

Subject: DISCUSS -- Indefinite Scroll on Search Results

Hi there,

Does anyone have any feedback -- Pros/Cons for indefinite scrolls on Search
results or web pages for consumer sites?

One site that I have come across is the www.live.com site where on the image

search there is an indefinite scroll.
http://www.live.com/#q=flower&scope=images&lod=2&page=results

Looking to see if anyone has implemented this kind of an interface or is
thinking about it and how would it impact the users.

Thanks,
Isha Bhatt
