                          February Chapter Meeting
                 Cyberlaw -- What You Don't Know Can Hurt You

        Ms. Josefina B. Taylor, Attorney with Mallory & Tsibouris, Co., LPA
                          Kathy Rausch, E-Business Expert

Today Americans routinely enter cyberspace, the Internet, to display
advertisements, shop, communicate via e-mail, conduct research, work,
attend classes, and perform many other tasks and achieve many goals. Yet,
the majority, if not all, Internet users, may be dangerously unfamiliar
with the law of the Internet, which is referred to as cyberlaw.

Cyberlaw is unsettled and evolving because the Internet is a very new
development in legal history. However, it must be remembered that the
law of the real world does not disappear on the Internet, it may just
become a little different. New cyber space and computer-related laws have
been proposed and enacted that include sections dealing with technology.
Meanwhile, the more traditional laws based on the Constitution, English
common law, and federal and state governments, also apply.

This cyberlaw presentation attempts to provide a summary of the issues to
those who work with Internets, Intranets, e-mail, etc. Whether one uses the
Internet to sell products or merely provide information about a business,
the laws of the real world will certainly apply.

Agenda includes Introductions; Your rights to consumer information;
Privacy, Security; Federal Law; International Law; The Legal Whirlpool;
Jurisdiction; Contract Taxes; State Law; Copyright, Trademark, and Servicemark;
Implications on a Web Site -- implementing a 5-step process.
