 *Haptic Audio Visual Environments and Games*

This is a call for papers for the 8^th IEEE International Workshop on 
Haptic Audio Visual Environments and Games (IEEE HAVE), held in 
Politecnico di Milano, Lecco, Italy, on November 7-8 2009.

Papers are being solicited on all aspects of multimodal haptic and audio 
visual virtual environment technologies and related applications such as 
tele-haptic robotics, design, tele-medicine, arts, education and 
training, Entertainment and Games. Topics of interest include, but are 
not limited to:
 

·         Haptic sensors and renderers

·         Hapto-audio-visual systems and applications

·         Hapto-surgical/medical systems

·         Haptic compression and prediction

·         multimodal perception and psychophysics

·         game interfaces, specially haptics interfaces

·         tele-haptics and tele-operation

·         augmented and virtualized reality

·         collaborative virtual environments

·         human-computer interaction in virtual environments

·         massively multiuser online games

·         multi-sensor data fusion

·         related object modeling

·         related soft computing techniques

·         RTIs and related APIs

Draft papers or extended abstracts (4-6 pages) should be submitted 
electronically using the web submission system available at:

*Special Issue in IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement*

A Special Issue on HAVE 2009 will be published in IEEE Transactions on 
Instrumentation and Measurement. All papers that are accepted and 
published in the workshop proceedings are eligible to submit an extended 
version to the special issue. Please see the HAVE 2009 website for more 
details.
