CALL FOR PAPERS
The Second International Workshop on Intelligent Communication Networks
(IntelNet 2011)
To be held in conjunction with IUCC'11 (Supported by IEEE Computer
Society and ACM), August 24-26, 2011, Dalian, China
http://intelnet2011.csp.escience.cn/
http://action.dlmu.edu.cn/iucc2011/index.html
SCOPE:
Modern communication networks have been becoming more and more large-scaled
and
complicated due to rapid development and interconnection among heterogeneous
communication networks. Therefore, the management and maintenance of modern
communication networks have posed many grand challenges to both industrial
and academic communication communities. To overcome these challenges, it is
very necessary to find new levels of autonomy and intelligence in designing,
deploying, managing, and maintaining communication networks.
The purpose of the Second International Workshop on Intelligent
Communication
Networks (IntelNet 2011) is to bring together scientists, researchers,
professionals,
and practitioners from both industry and academia to exchange ideas, discuss
solutions, share experiences, and report state-of-the-art research results
on
various aspects of intelligent communication networks. The topics of
interest
include, but are not limited to:
-- Ad Hoc Networks and Sensor Networks
-- Advanced Technologies for Enabling Intelligent Communications
-- Agent Enabled Communication Systems
-- Autonomy-Oriented Communication Networks
-- Biological, Social, and Economic Models for Communication Networks
-- Bio-Inspired Network Protocols and Services
-- Bio-Inspired Communication Networks
-- Cognitive Networks
-- Complex Dynamics of Communication Networks
-- Experimental Case Studies and Testbeds of Intelligent Communication
Networks
-- Intelligent Sensing, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Measurements
-- Mobile Social Networks
-- Scalability and Complexity of Intelligent Communication Networks
-- Self-Organizing, Self-Adaptive and Self-Tuning Communication Networks
-- Smart Home Networks
-- Stability and Dependability of Intelligent Communication Networks
PAPER SUBMISSION:
Authors are invited to submit manuscripts reporting original unpublished
research
and recent developments in the topics related to the workshop. The length of
the
papers should not exceed 8 pages + 2 pages for overlength charges (IEEE
Computer
Society Proceedings Manuscripts style: two columns, single-spaced),
including
figures and references, using 10 fonts, and number each page. Papers should
be
submitted electronically in PDF format by sending it as an e-mail attachment
to
Xiaolong Jin ([log in to unmask]).
All papers will be peer-reviewed and the comments will be provided to the
authors.
All accepted papers will be included in the proceedings of the main
conference
IUCC 2011, published by IEEE Computer Society Press. At least one
author of any accepted paper is requested to register at the main
conference.
Distinguished papers presented at IntelNet 2011 will be published, after
further
extensions, in a special issue of International Journal of Autonomous and
Adaptive
Communications Systems (IJAACS) - Inderscience (
http://www.inderscience.com/browse/index.php?journalID=263).
