Applications for doctoral and postdoctoral openings are solicited in the
College of Computing at NJIT. Areas of interest include mobile VR/AR
networked systems and synergies with computer vision, machine learning and
HCI, edge computing for 5G, UAV-IoT sensing and networking, real-time
reinforcement learning (RL) and deep RL for communication systems and
applications, and 360-degree video streaming. The doctoral positions are
fully funded. The postdoc openings are on a multi-year basis, renewed every
year, subject to performance evaluation.

Skills required for the postdoctoral applicants:
- Strong background in one or multiple of the areas of interest noted above
- Very good publication record in top academic conferences and journals
- Excellent analytical, technical and problem solving skills
- Interest in mentoring graduate students
- Very good organization and communication skills

Our students are fully supported throughout the calendar year (summer
included), work on cutting edge externally funded projects, and have full
benefits (health, retirement, etc.) with NJIT as employees. We often
collaborate with leading corporate research labs and in the summer there are
opportunities for internships with them.

If you are interested or know someone that may be interested, I would be
grateful to hear from you. Feel free to share this email within your own
circles. An electronic version of our advertisement with full details about
the application process can be found here: www.tinyurl.com/38swe6ah.

Thank you and best regards,
Jacob Chakareski
