ACM SYMPOSIUM ON APPLIED COMPUTING
For the past thirty eight years, the ACM Symposium on Applied Computing has been a primary gathering forum
for applied computer scientists, computer engineers, software engineers, and application developers from around the world.
SEMANTIC TECHNOLOGY TRACK CALL FOR PAPERS
The technical track "Semantic Technology" focuses on the topics related to Semantic Technologies and their Applications using artificial intelligence. The semantic technologies range from semantic web technologies to more advanced techniques to understand natural language using machine learning and artificial intelligence.
The focus of this track is to present research concerning issues such as: 1) learning/constructing ontologies for Semantic Technology; 2) utilizing ontologies and artificial intelligence for data management, integration and interoperability in Semantic applications; 3) architectures for achieving Semantic Technology for specific application domains; and 4) improving search techniques (or engines) with Semantic Technologies.
This track aims to tackle research problems and practical applications for the Semantic Technology. Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit papers on the theoretical, technical, and practical issues of Semantic Technology and its Applications. We are particularly interested in applying Semantic Technology to specific application domains (e.g., e-learning, e-business, social network, geographic information system, medical informatics, and bioinformatics).

SUBMISSION TYPES
Submissions should fall into the following categories:
• Original and unpublished research work
• Reports of innovative computing applications in sciences, engineering, and business areas
• Reports of successful technology transfer to new problem domains
• Reports of industrial experience and demos of new innovative systems
Each paper will be double-blindly reviewed by at least three reviewers;
this is an ACM requirement as SAC is a “Refereed Conference”.
Please adhere to this requirement when you prepare for your paper.
Double-blindly means that the author of a paper does not know the reviewers of his/her paper and
reviewers do not know the authors of the papers they reviewed.
The author(s) name(s) and address(es) must NOT appear in the body of the paper, and self-reference
should be in the third person. This is to facilitate blind review.
Only the title should be shown on the top of the first page without the author's information.
A paper cannot be submitted to more than one track.
All paper submissions MUST BE "Original, unpublished work."
Paper registration is required, allowing the inclusion of the paper/poster in the conference proceedings.
An author or a proxy attending SAC MUST present the paper. This is a requirement for the paper/poster
to be included in the ACM/IEEE digital library. No-show of scheduled papers and posters will result in
excluding them from the ACM/IEEE digital library.
SUBMISSION PROCEDURES
Authors are invited to submit original papers in PDF format.
Since the track papers will be published by ACM proceedings,
authors must submit manuscripts using the ACM format.

REGULAR PAPERS
• For accepted regular papers, the total number of pages allowed with your registration without any extra page fee is eight (8). A maximum of 10 (first 8 pages no extra fees, 2 extra pages with fees) is allowed for each regular paper.
• For accepted poster papers, the total number of pages allowed with your registration without any extra page fee is two.
Posters are limited to 2 pages with the option for up to 1 additional page.

STUDENT RESEARCH COMPETITION (SRC)
As before, SAC 2024 organizes a Student Research Competition (SRC) Program to provide graduate students
the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with researchers and practitioners in their areas of interest.
Submission to the SRC program should be in electronic form via The Student Research Abstract SUBMISSION page
(https://softconf.com/n/sac-src2024/).
• For accepted student research abstracts, Student Research Abstracts are limited to 2 pages in ACM format using the posted template, no additional pages. The template can be downloaded in https://www.sigapp.org/sac/sac2024/authorkit.php.

October 30, 2023: Notification Paper acceptance/rejection and SRC Acceptance
November 30, 2023: Camera-ready copies of accepted papers/SRC
