The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M
University invites applications for multiple full-time tenured or
tenure-track positions with 9-month academic appointments and the
possibility of additional summer appointments contingent upon need and
availability of funds, beginning fall of 2022. Applicants will be
considered for the faculty titles of assistant, associate, and full
professor levels, depending on qualifications. Areas of computer
science of interest include but are not limited to artificial
intelligence, computer science education, cybersecurity, data science,
human-centered computing, robotics, software, systems, and theory.
Strong candidates in multi-disciplinary or emerging areas of computing
are also encouraged to apply.
The successful applicant will be required to teach; advise and mentor
graduate students; develop an independent, externally funded research
program; participate in all aspects of the department’s activities;
serve the profession.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Texas A&M is
currently one of 15 departments in the College of Engineering. Many of
the 48 tenured/tenure-track faculty and 18 teaching-focused faculty hold
a number of national distinctions, including ACM, IEEE, AAAS, and SIAM
Fellows, and ACM Distinguished Scientists and Engineers. The department
has a strong and vibrant research program, with half the faculty having
received NSF CAREER/NYI/PYI awards. CSE faculty have strong
collaborations with the Center for Remote Health Technologies and
Systems, Institute of Data Science, Cybersecurity Center, and Bush
Combat Development Complex. Our student population is comprised of over
1,300 undergraduate students (sophomore to senior level) and nearly 400
graduate students. The department just moved to the newly renovated
Peterson Building, with airy modern offices, conference rooms, and
lounges, and equipped with state-of-the-art A/V technology. More

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in computer science, computer
engineering, or a closely related field. Applicants should submit a
cover letter, curriculum vitae, teaching statement, research statement,
