Dear all,
in the context of our ERC project AdjustNet, we are looking for motivated
and bright PhD students with a strong interest in theoretical and/or
algorithmic aspects of distributed systems and networks.
The position comes with research freedom, and topics of interest include:
- Algorithmic problems related to dynamic graphs
- Online algorithms, approximation algorithms and dynamic algorithms for
networks
- Theoretical foundations of self-adjusting networks and data structures
- Consensus algorithms and lower bounds
- Information-theoretic approaches to model and predict communication
traffic
- Incentives and game-theoretic aspects
