Applications are invited for the above posts in the School of Computer Science within the Faculty of Science & Engineering based at UNNC. The School of Computer Science at UNNC is part of the School of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham, UK, which is ranked among the top UK Computer Science departments (http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/computerscience/).
At UNNC, the School currently has 17 internationally appointed academics from eight different countries, and we plan to expand to over 30 staff in the next 3-4 years. We are now recruiting world-class scientists as well as talented and ambitious young scholars to join us, including associate professors and assistant professors. All posts include internationally competitive and attractive salary packages. Depending on experience and skills, team appointments are also possible. Candidates must hold a PhD in relevant disciplines, the prioritized areas are:
-- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
-- Computational Intelligence and Optimisation
-- Data Analytics and Data Mining
-- Software Engineering
-- Cyber Security
-- Theoretical Computer Science
## Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach computer science subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Develop computer science undergraduate and postgraduate curricula.
Supervise computer science PhD students and postdoctoral researchers.
Obtain research grants from municipal, provincial and national funding bodies as well as the private sector.
Conduct world-class research in computer science and allied areas.
Disseminate research results in prestigious international journals and conferences.
Transfer knowledge to industry.
Perform administrative duties as required.
Any other duties appropriate to the grade and role of the post holder.
## What we offer:
We offer a highly competitive salary and benefit package commensurate with experience and qualification, including housing allowance, insurances, and schooling for accompanied children, home flight, relocation & repatriation support, paid annual leave. These tenure track position holders will be offered a contract subject to obtaining proper visa and legal requirements from the PRC government.
