Postdoc position at University of Gothenburg | Chalmers University of Technology

The successful candidate will coordinate the definition of the Co4Robots platform and will support the supervision of one or two PhD students involved in the project. We will make use of Model Driven Engineering (MDE), which is considered a key and core technology by the Robotics 2020 Multi-Annual Roadmap document (MAR) - http://sparc-robotics.eu/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/H2020-Robotics-Multi-Annual-Roadmap-ICT-2016.pdf -  and this will permit to systematically concentrate on different levels of robot application abstractions - each providing a view for specific stakeholders - for (i) improving usability in everyday applications, (ii) enabling customizability in different and specific domains, (iii) promoting reusability of the different algorithms, methods, and techniques conceived in the overall project, (iv) managing variability and complexity both before and during the mission execution.

The successful candidate will work in the context of the European Project "Achieving Complex Collaborative Missions via Decentralized Control and Coordination of Interacting Robots (Co4Robots)", Call: H2020-ICT-2016-2017 (Information and Communication Technologies Call), Topic: ICT-25-2016-2017, Type of action: RIA (Research and Innovation action).
