Postdoctoral Research Associate
Systems Software Research Group
Virginia Tech

A postdoctoral position is available in the Systems Software Research Group
(http://www.ssrg.ece.vt.edu/) at Virginia Tech (http://www.vt.edu/) on a
dependable systems project that aims to develop fault-resilient software
infrastructures, with a particular focus on transient faults at processor
and memory subsystems of multicore and distributed systems. The work is
aimed at building upon recent results in the computer architecture,
distributed systems, and OS/virtualization literatures. Besides theory, the
project involves developing mechanisms and subsystems, and contributing to
open-source and experimental software projects.

Recent computer science or computer engineering PhD graduates with
background in distributed systems, dependability, and operating
systems/virtualization are sought. System building skills are necessary.
The position is for two-year minimum, with strong possibilities for
additional years, and have no teaching obligations. Contact Prof. Binoy
Ravindran ([log in to unmask]) with a CV or for any questions.

(Please forward this ad to whoever may be interested and appropriate. Thank
you.)
