Dear SPAA '15 attendees,
The Engaging Undergraduates in Research Workshop, sponsored by the
Education Committee of the Computing Research Association, will be held at
FCRC on Monday, June 15, 6-7:30 PM in the C123/124 of the Oregon Convention
Center. There is no registration fee and abundant appetizers will be
served! We do ask that anyone planning to attend use the RSVP form at
http://tinyurl.com/CRAEworkshop.
The objectives of the workshop are to provide faculty with resources and
best practices for engaging undergraduates in their research, identifying
funding sources for undergraduate research, and related topics. To ensure
a healthy pipeline of students motivated to continue on to graduate school,
it is critically important that talented undergraduates obtain meaningful
research experiences. *Having faculty who are well-prepared to supervise
undergraduate research can make a difference. *
The workshop is funded by the National Science Foundation.
More information is available at http://cra.org/crae/workshops.
On behalf of the CRA Education Committee,
Ran Libeskind-Hadas
Nancy Amato
