Press release:

18th Ada-Europe Conference on Reliable Software Technologies

International experts meet in Berlin

Berlin (30 May 2013) - Ada-Germany and Ada-Europe organize from 10 to
14 June 2013 the "18th International Conference on Reliable Software
Technologies - Ada-Europe 2013" in Berlin, Germany. The event is
organized in cooperation with ACM's Special Interest Groups on Ada
(SIGAda), on Embedded Systems (SIGBED), and on Programming Languages
(SIGPLAN).

The Ada-Europe series of conferences has become established as a
successful international forum for providers, practitioners and
researchers in all aspects of reliable software technologies.
These events highlight the increased relevance of Ada in safety-
and security-critical systems, and provide a unique opportunity
for interaction and collaboration between academics and industrial
practitioners.

This year's conference offers two days of tutorials, three keynotes, a
full technical program of refereed papers and industrial presentations,
a special panel session, an industrial exhibition, and a social
program.

Eleven excellent tutorials on Monday and Friday cover a broad range
of topics: Multicore Programming using Divide-and-Conquer and Work
Stealing; Designing and Checking Coding Standards for Ada; Effective
Requirements Development Practices and their Role in Effective
Design; Understanding Dynamic Memory Management in Safety Critical
Java; Developing Code Analysis Applications with ASIS; Verification
and Validation Techniques for Dependable Systems; Testing Real-Time
Software; Service-Oriented Architecture and Enterprise Service Bus;
Developing High-Integrity Systems with GNAT GPL and the Ravenscar
Profile; Maximize your Application Potential; Design of Multitask
Software: the Entity-Life Modeling Approach.

Three eminent keynote speakers have been invited to open each
day of the core conference program. Bruce Powel Douglass (Chief
Evangelist IBM Rational, USA) speaks about "Model-based Ada
Development for DO-178B/C and the Application of Agile Methods".
Jack G. Ganssle (The Ganssle Group, USA) presents "The Way Ahead in
Software Engineering: Replacing Artists with Disciplined Grownups".
Giorgio C. Buttazzo (Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna of Pisa, Italy)
talks about "Research Challenges in Exploiting Multi-Core Platforms
for Real-Time Applications".

The technical program presents 11 refereed and carefully selected
papers on the latest research, new tools, applications and industrial
practice and experience, a collection of 5 industrial presentations
reflecting current practice and challenges, vendor presentations,
a panel session on "How to Use the Heap in Real-Time Systems", and a
special session "Introducing Ada 2012" by Tucker Taft. Springer Verlag
publishes the proceedings of the conference, as LNCS Vol. 7896.

The industrial exhibition opens in the mid-morning break on Tuesday
and runs until the end of the afternoon break on Thursday. Exhibitors
include AdaCore, Atego, Ellidiss Software, ETAS and Vector Software.

The social program includes a "Get Together" on Monday evening,
a "Welcome Party" on Tuesday evening, and on Wednesday evening
the Conference Banquet Dinner at the Botanic Garden of the Freie
Universität Berlin, one of the largest and most diverse botanical
gardens in the world, within walking distance to the conference hotel.
Each day, coffee breaks and sit-down lunches offer ample time for
interaction and networking.

The venue for the Ada-Europe 2013 conference is the Seminaris
Conference Hotel. Named the Dahlem Cube, the conference center in
the shape of a glass cube with its 2600 m2 of conference space is
a masterpiece of modern architecture. The hotel is located in the
suburb Dahlem at Takustraße 39, 14195 Berlin, and connected to the
center of Berlin by subway transportation of about 30 minutes.

The full program is available on the conference web site.
Registration is still open.
