You can do this quite easily using the graphics routines in RAPID
(ftp://ftp.usafa.af.mil/pub/dfcs/carlisle/usafa/rapid/index.html). This
requires TASH and Tcl/Tk.

You can also do this using direct calls to Windows, but this is rather gory.

Others will undoubtedly suggest GLIDE (for Gtk), CLAW (from RR Software,
thick binding to Win 32), creating an Applet using AppletMagic, etc.

Subject: Writing graphics files

Hi Teamers,
I am working on a tutorial application to teach iteration to CS1
classes
using a graphical interface. To achieve my aims I need to be able to write
a graphics file to a Windows98 graphics window controlling its size and
position in the window. The format of the file doesn't matter but I am
thinking in terms of .bmp, .gif or .jpg files.
I've ransacked our library and hunted high and low but I can't find
anything which helps (even in a certain language of monosyllabic name which
I won't mention). Obviously, I want to be able to do this job in Ada, and
there must be a way. Does anyone have any ideas?

Regards
