In all honesty, folks, I DID send that last message BEFORE I read Stephen's
reply.

My sense of turning the clock forward, however, was not so much in terms of
"time of conception" as in looking forward to modern programming language
concepts.  Other than classes, there is almost nothing modern about
Java.  Wes G. made the point well r.e. int vs float.  Such power!  :)
