By the way, I am probably not reporting that accurately, but I think I'm
close.
Anyone know anything about it and where to find any of the code or any
documents about it?

There was a different group that felt LISP was more appropriate than Ada
for their project.
So, rather than request a waiver, they wrote a translator that took LISP
input and output compilable
Ada.  They could then do all their work in LISP, and "comply with the
mandate" by delivering
Ada to the customer.

But the one I referred to first actually did pretty close to what I said.
Though I disagree with
the intent, I would like to see that code again.
